Dcappella LIVE on tour
Give it up to Disney to put up World class content. Dcappella is the Acappella group created by Disney hence D-cappella. These are 7 of the most talented performers who I was able to witness on their first ever North American tour. The group is made up Sojourner Brown (alto), Orlando Dixon (baritone), Antonio Fernandez (vocal percussion), Morgan Keene (soprano), Shelley Regner (mezzo), Joe Santoni (bass), and RJ Woessner (tenor) who are a power force in their own might and when they come together, they create history.
The Fox theater Atlanta was their 1st ever tour's 5th venue and boy oh boy was I blown away. I lost count of times they received standing ovations after each of their performances.
They don't just perform, but rather do it so effortlessly and with a beat in their steps. They interacted with the audience and made us a part of their act and showed us how symphony is created in harmony. Every song had their own unique style portrayed in the performances.
I must sound like a broken record but there wasn't a boring moment or even a moment when I wasn't wowed away. They sang in 12 languages, they performed the silly symphony doing the singing alongwith voices and folly too. Antonio gave us a slice of his unique instrumental piece using purely his vocals. And to top it all was their first ever single, their rendition of Fall out boy's "Immortals" which gave me goosebumps. With a sleeping baby in my hands I couldn't resist standing up and dancing to their tunes. I put their song in repeat on my drive back home and have it set as the first song on my playlist since then.
They may just be starting out but they are going to reach the stars.
Spoilers in video.
I was lucky enough to have a meet and greet with them and they put out their charm once again with their humble smiles and down-to-earth nature. Dcappella gave us a show to remember and this super talented bunch have stolen a million hearts along the way.
Hurry and check out when they are visiting a city near you.
