Diet week 3 - redefining myself
This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed below are my own.
As I enter into the 3rd week of my diet, I have started getting a clearer picture of what is going on within my body and how it is affecting me.

I absolutely love the fact that I can enjoy all kinds of food without feeling guilty. Yes everything has to be in moderation but dreams don't fulfill overnight and you cannot get into a healthy weight in one meal.

This book is more of a lifestyle then just a diet and most of makes a lot of sense to me. I have lost about 5 pounds in 2 weeks which is a huge start for me. And that too without sacrificing foods that I love.
One important aspect Joel focuses on is a 16 hour intermittent fasting. This basically means you put your all your meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner into an 8 hour window. And then the rest 16 hours goes in fasting. So hypothetically if you have your breakfast at 10am then your dinner should be done by 6pm. This is how you adjust your time. Yes you are allowed late night snacking but has to be protein based which helps in muscle building while your body is asleep.
Everything explained in the book is backed by a well thought out explanation and is pretty easy to understand. The tidbits of recipes included in between the pages are a real help. One thing that really touched me was how the author explained that Success begins in the mind. If you do not wholeheartedly believe in what you are doing then the battle is already half lost. He talks about cutting loose toxic people from your life and maintaining distance from people who have a habit of not supporting you. Which makes sense since all these factors eventually do affect your lifestyle and what you eat depending on how you feel.
Living in the present and starting now is the key. Do not keep delaying what you want to do. It's just a hurdle in your mind which you need to clear and rest will fall into place. I waited too long to get my body back on track. You need not play the waiting game. Just believe in yourself and take the step forward in making a better you.
