Wilderness at the Smokies

If you want to see the best fall colors, then Smoky mountains is the place to be. If you want the best winter vibes, again it is Smokies. Be it spring or summer, the Great smokey mountain is one of the best places to go. I have been to this beautiful city almost 7 times in the past 8 years and I never get bored. There is so much to do and so much to see for the entire family. One of those memorable places is the Wilderness at the smokies.

They have everything in here to enjoy without needing to go anywhere else. The waterpark in here is amazing. The outdoor water park closes during winter but the indoor waterpark is worth it in itself. There are a lot of fun rides, swimming pool, wave pool, kids water play area and surf wave as well. We got the adventure pass which had UNLIMITED admission to:

Tree Top Towers, Mount Wild, Daredevils Drop, Moonshine Run (indoor mini-golf), Copperhead, Cubs Climbing Den & Howlin’ Hound Dog Alley.

As soon I entered the resort, I could feel like I am in an oversized cabin. The entire place was quite themeful. Our room had a bunk bed for kids as well which was really nice. The interconnected room had a full kitchen and living room which made it ideal for families who like to be relaxed and get a homely feel when on vacation. Since we were there at Halloween weekend, we got to do trick or treating with candies being handed out from place to place making it a real fun candy hunt.

The resort had a really nice arcade where we spent hours playing and snagging tokens. With the help of Adventure pass, we were able to play mini golf which was one of the best I went to. It was a glow in the dark kinda golf. The treetop towers was so nice. You do the rope course which could get challenging at times. Me and my kids tried our hands on laser tag too.

The Thirsty Miner has it all… from great breakfast options to start your day to our dinner menu that will keep the family going after a long day at the waterpark! The Thirsty Miner is located on the second floor of River Lodge, overlooking the Wild WaterDome.

HIDDEN TRAIL BAR AND GRILL

Offering buffet and menu items when the buffet is not available (please see Wilderness Express for buffet times) for breakfast or menu items for lunch (seasonal) and dinner.

GRIZZLY’S GRILL
